Docunet Audiovisual, S.L. (and the name docu.net) was
founded
in 2004 by Xavier Berenguer (projects
director) and Pep Garriga (managing director).
Xavier
Berenguer (xavier.berenguer[a]docu.net)
has a Ph. D. on Industrial Engineering.
He has been involved in the world of visual media since
1984, when he set up Animàtica,
S.A., one of the first computer animation production companies
in Europe, of which he was Director until 1992.
As
scriptwriter or director he has participated in several productions
such as the TV programme Estudi
8, the CD-ROMs Twelve
senses, Catalan poetry of today
and Joan Miró, the colour of
dreams and the TV
series nostra nau and DÍGITS.
Pep Garriga
(pep.garriga[a]docu.net) is an
Industrial Engineer and holds a Senior Management Program
Qualification (PADE) from IESE.
His career path has closely
linked to Information Technology. He was the Director of Telefónica
de España at Catalonia until September 2004. He has also
worked for organisations such as Barcelona
City Council, the United Nations and Tècnicos en Automatización
de Oficinas among others.
He has been member of the Board of Directors of Torre de Collserola, Foment Ciutat Vella, Barcelona Emprèn SCR, Gestió del coneixement, EFECOM, Buildnet and Telecom Vallés. He set up
and ran the magazines Novàtica,
of the Asociación de Técnicos de Informática, and Àgora, of the United
Nations
Intergovernmental Bureau of Informatics.
